IMAGING DEPARTMENT
Diagnostics connected with your orthopedic care, in the same Boca Raton practice.
Contact our Imaging department for assistance with X-Ray and MRI appointments.
Imaging helps your clinician look beyond the physical examination. Depending on the question being investigated, an X-Ray or MRI may provide information that supports the evaluation and discussion of treatment options.
At Hand & Ortho, both services are available within our practice. Your clinician determines whether imaging is needed and which exam is appropriate for your symptoms and care plan.
X-Rays are often used to evaluate bones, joint alignment, and certain changes or injuries. They may be part of an initial orthopedic assessment or a follow-up recommended by your clinician.
MRI provides detailed views of soft tissues and other structures that may need a closer look. Your clinician may recommend it when additional information is needed to guide your evaluation.
Knowing who to call should be straightforward. Our Imaging department can assist with questions about X-Ray and MRI appointments.
When you contact the department, let the team know which exam your clinician has recommended and what questions you have about scheduling. Ask which documents, orders, or previous studies are needed for your visit.
Confirm the preparation instructions for your particular exam with the imaging team. For MRI appointments, tell the team about implanted devices, possible metal in your body, pregnancy, or concerns about enclosed spaces before your visit.
If you need help locating the right department for another part of your care, our main practice team can assist at 561-241-4758.
